Sustainability
Sustainability is super important to me as the owner of a small business. I try my absolute best to keep my carbon footprint down and keep myself educated on the impact my business can have on the environment.
What I do to remain a sustainable, eco-friendly business?
High-quality, second hand equipment
Nearly all of my equipment is second hand. I strive to find high quality, like-new equipment for my business. By buying slightly used equipment, you are helping with less wasteful manufacturing and over consumption. Often, creatives buy brand new equipment and don't end up liking it for their business and resell it (I have fallen victim to this myself!) but the item is barely even out of the box and is like new! This is the equipment I try to buy.In turn I am also supporting small business who sell this equipment instead of big carbon emitting companies like Amazon.
Paperless contracts & Delivery
I use paperless contracts and invoices, as well as online image + video delivery for my clients to reduce single use plastics and unnecsary waste.
Supporting small business
All small gifts that I buy for clients are from a local business that is made in house by the owner (meaning no emissions for it to be transported). The gift is reusable and wouldn't cause harm to the environment if it was disposed of. The package is sent in fully recycallable packaging.
Vege lifestyle
I am also a vegetarian! I eat no meat in my day-to-day diet.
